    Job Summary: Supports daily operations, staff training, and education in the Health Information Management (HIM) department—including identity, chart corrections, analysis, scanning, customer service, and ROI—while safeguarding patient information and ensuring regulatory compliance. Perform diverse duties related to the electronic medical record. Investigates misidentified cases, resolves by correcting information as needed to maintain accuracy in EHR (EPIC) timely. Assists with patient amendment requests to ensure timely response with reviews. Assists in processing and maintaining forms inventory. Understand and provide input in build related to HIM modules (Identity, Deficiency, ROI) EPIC EMR.

     

    Qualifications: A Bachelor’s degree in Health Information Management or an Associate’s degree in Health Information Technology is required. RHIA or RHIT certification is preferred. Candidates should have knowledge of compliance, patient privacy, security, HIPAA, and hospital medical records regulations. Experience with performance improvement, teaching principles, and EPIC is beneficial. The role requires strong written and oral communication skills, organizational ability, adaptability, multitasking capability, and proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
