    Job Title: Construction Superintendent Job Description

     

    We are seeking a dedicated Construction Superintendent in or near Indianapolis to join our team and ensure the successful delivery of diverse projects. These projects range from commercial developments and educational facilities to water treatment facilities and industrial projects. Our team is self-performing in areas such as demolition, concrete and masonry, rough carpentry, and doors. A willingness to travel for national projects is a plus.

    Responsibilities

    + Create project schedules in collaboration with the Project Manager.

    + Oversee site safety to ensure compliance with standards.

    + Create, maintain, and review all project documentation.

    + Ensure project oversight and quality control throughout the construction process.

    + Communicate effectively with trades, subcontractors, clients, and owners.

    + Manage project materials to ensure availability and quality.

    Essential Skills

    + Minimum of 5 years in commercial construction.

    + Minimum of 5 years as a lead superintendent on ground-up projects.

    + Experience managing projects valued at $10 million or more.

    + Located in or around Indianapolis, IN.

    + Proficiency in client-facing roles and communication.

    + Experience with construction software such as Procore.

    + Ability to create construction schedules.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Degree in Construction Management.

    + Experience with Microsoft Project.

    + Background in masonry.

    + Experience in K-12 construction projects.

    + Experience with water and wastewater projects.

    + Willingness to travel nationwide for up to 2 weeks at a time.

    Work Environment

    The role is primarily on-site, with work hours ranging from 40 to 50 hours per week depending on the season and weather conditions. During busy periods, the schedule may extend to five 10-hour days. The position offers a supportive environment with an emphasis on understanding family needs and time. A laptop or tablet will be provided, and traveling expenses are covered for hotel accommodations when necessary. The role includes a vehicle allowance, and phone reimbursement is offered.

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Indianapolis, Indiana.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $110000.00 - $150000.00/hr.
