A Unit ID associate inspects inbound merchandise and validates that it is the style the buyer ordered. The Unit ID associate will create detailed–SKUs, or sub–SKUs, by using our RDM system to track the style/color/size units through the DC process. A Unit ID associate will first need to learn 2nd level sorting.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
2nd Level Sort Processing
+ Prints out Receiving Worksheet from RDM
+ Partners with Unit ID to determine the next level of sort for PO
+ Sorts cartons by style to second level breakdown
+ Transfers merchandise from vendor cartons into Ross cartons/totes
+ Uses box cutters to open inbound cartons
+ Tracks production on a daily production sheet
Unit ID Processing
+ Ensures the quantity, color, style and size of all items in a container matches the information entered into the RDM system
+ Creates and applies MLPs and LPNs to ensure merchandise is tracked throughout the DC process
+ Uses DC computers to enter information into RDM
+ Transfers units into multiple cartons when additional sorts are required
+ Creates detailed-SKUs, or sub-SKUs for tracking and ticketing purposes

QUALIFICATIONS AND SPECIAL SKILLS REQUIRED:
+ Able to lift a minimum of 50 lbs
+ Strong self-motivation abilities
+ Must have computer knowledge
+ Must be able to read small print
+ Ability to read, speak and understand written instructions in English
+ Must pass Math, Unit ID and MS Word Aptitude testing
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/ADA:
Job requires ability to work in a warehouse environment, standing on a concrete floor all day.
Requires continuous, standing, walking, hearing, pushing, and pulling.
Consistent timeliness and regular attendance is necessary.
Frequently reaching, bending, stooping, talking, hearing (audio equipment), handling objects with hands and lifting to 50 lbs.
Vision requirements: Ability to see information in print and/or electronically.
Requires writing.
This is a third shift position.

**Pay Details:** $19.50 per hour
