    Job Summary:

    This faculty position will have clinical, research and administrative responsibilities within the Department of Medicine, Division of Medical Oncology, and the Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center. This individual will serve as an attending physician in the Division of Medical Oncology, with focus on the care and treatment of patients with sarcoma disease and possibly cancer patients with related diseases seeking experimental therapies. This includes outpatient care, as well as inpatient attending responsibilities for the division.

    Duties and responsibilities (include but may not be limited to):

    Responsible for holding clinic sections and for inpatient attending duties at Sylvester’s main campus.

     

    Conduct and develop clinical and translational trials related to the treatment of sarcoma disease. Will assist in the expansion of clinical trials portfolio as an investigator and a principal investigator.

     

    Contribute to the Cancer Center’s effort to build a Translational Clinical Oncology Program with the goal of meeting those metrics of an NCI research program.

    Position Requirements:

    Qualifications should include a demonstrated track record of excellence in patient care, peer-reviewed publications and the potential to serve as principal investigator of cutting-edge clinical trials for multiple myeloma patients.

     

    Board certification or eligibility in Hematology and/or Oncology is required. Active or eligibility to obtain a Florida Medical License.

     

    Experience or interest in translational trials and novel approaches is of particular interest.
