The Position: Medical Laboratory Scientist/ Medical Laboratory Technician (ASCP)

Employment Status: Full time

Hours per two-week pay-period: 80

Essential Job Functions:

+ Perform diagnostic laboratory testing in areas such as chemistry, hematology, microbiology, immunology, and blood bank.

+ Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot laboratory instruments and equipment.

+ Perform quality control and follow established safety and compliance standards (CLIA, CAP).

+ Communicate test results and collaborate with healthcare providers to support patient care.

+ Stay current with laboratory practices through continuing education and training.

Minimum Qualifications:

+ Bachelor-s degree in Medical Laboratory Science, Clinical Laboratory Science, or a related field; ASCP certification (or eligibility) as a Medical Laboratory Scientist.

+ Associate-s degree from a NAACLS-accredited Medical Laboratory Technician program; ASCP certification (or eligibility) as an MLT.

+ Montana licensure (or eligibility) as a Clinical Laboratory Scientist or Technician.

+ Prior clinical laboratory experience preferred, but new graduates welcome to apply.

Sidney Health Center is seeking a Medical Laboratory Scientist/ Medical Laboratory Technician (ASCP) to join our I CARE team in the Laboratory setting. Essential duties of the position include Perform diagnostic laboratory testing in areas such as chemistry, hematology, microbiology, immunology, and blood bank, operate, maintain, and troubleshoot laboratory instruments and equipment, perform quality control and follow established safety and compliance standards (CLIA, CAP), communicate test results and collaborate with healthcare providers to support patient care, stay current with laboratory practices through continuing education and training.
