    Job Description

    The Distribution Supervisor is responsible for the effective and efficient distribution of product as well as the management of a team of Drivers within a Sales Center facility. In certain facilities this role will also assume responsibility for Full Service routing and reporting.

     

    Essential Duties & Responsibilities

     

    + Coordinate distribution schedules, vehicle assignments, loading of product and delivery of product

    + Conduct weekly route rides with Drivers; document observations and develop action plan to address areas of opportunity

    + Where applicable: complete daily Full Service route planning; conduct Full Service audits and provide Full Service reporting as needed

    + Supervise, train, develop and evaluate a team of direct reports

    + Foster a fun, results driven work environment that achieves its results in a safe, professional and ethical manner

    + Ensure adherence to delivery standards, efficiencies and regulatory requirements

    + Establish and maintain positive customer relationships; work to resolve customer issues

    + Serve as liaison between distribution and sales departments

    Job Requirements

    + High school diploma, GED or equivalent required

    + Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management or related field preferred

    + 3+ years of experience in Warehouse & Distribution, Supply Chain or related field required

    + Previous supervisory and / or leadership experience preferred

    + Basic technical knowledge and working experience with SAP preferred

    + Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications including Outlook, Excel and Word

    + Strong analytical, decision making and problem solving skills

    + Excellent verbal and written communication skills

    + Ability to communicate effectively at all levels within the organization, to clearly articulate relevant ideas, opinions and information

    + Ability to work effectively in a team environment, and across teams where necessary, to develop relationships throughout the company and to work collaboratively

    + Ability to effectively supervise and motivate employees
