    Position:Program Aide

    Department:York, PA

     

    Availability of Position:Immediate

     

    Schedule:25 hours a week; M- F, 3pm - 8pm

     

    Reporting Relationship:Supervisor - Learning Center Director

     

    Salary and Salary Grade:$13.00 per hour; 71

    Responsibilities

    Position Overview:This position involves direct assistance with learning programs and homework for York City students.

    Description of Position:

    + Assist students with nightly homework.

    + Assist students with learning programs, this includes accurate attendance and student assessments (student behaviors and ability to complete assigned tasks) and program assessment.

    + Provide additional study aids and tools for students who appear to be struggling with assignments.

    + Communicate regularly with the Learning Center Director.

    + Follow and enforce discipline policy of the Learning Center.

    + Maintain a clean working environment.

    + Attend all training and staff meetings.

    + Other job related duties as assigned

    + Child Protection Clearances PA Act 153 requires that all prospective employees complete the following clearance and background checks: PA Child Abuse History Clearance, PA State Police Criminal Record Check and FBI Criminal Record/Fingerprint Check.

    + Must have an understanding of and appreciation for the Mission of The Salvation Army.
