Veterinary Assistant (Westlake Village, CA)

Pay Range: $20.50 - $23.50/hour

VCA Westlake Village Animal Hospital is located in the beautiful city of Westlake Village, CA. We are seeking an _EXPERIENCED_ Veterinary Assistant to join our wonderful team! We prefer full-time, but will consider part-time for the right candidate. Full-time associates are scheduled for (4) 10-hour shifts.

Hospital Hours:

Mon - Fri: 8:00a - 7:00p

Sat - Sun: 8:00a - 4:00p

We are a general practice hospital that can provide a lot of opportunity for growth. We are looking to have someone proficient in phlebotomy, IV catheter placement, drug calculations, and patient care. The ideal candidate is someone who believes in supporting one another and working together as a team.

The successful candidate will be a believer in the possibilities of high quality veterinary medicine and patient care—with the expertise and technical know-how to make them happen. We are looking for someone who makes it a priority to work together with their team.

In this position you will be supporting our Doctors and Technician team by creating a positive, low-stress atmosphere for our clients and patients. Duties will include:

• Maintaining medical records.

• Preparing surgical suite and surgical patients.

• Filling prescriptions.

• Performing laboratory work and diagnostic imaging.

• Providing client education.
