Job Description
Essential Duties/Responsibilities:
+ Lead, mentor, and develop a team of seasoned strategy analysts. Will directly manage the analyst team (5 direct reports) and oversee the team’s results.
+ Manage team’s budget, ensuring resource subscriptions, vendors, team development, T&E, salaries etc are managed to plan.
+ Will hold an active role in supporting and participating in the company’songoing strategic planning process.
+ Conduct and coach in-depth market research and competitive analysis to identify opportunities and threats.
+ Analyze and model data, identify trends, and provide strategic recommendations to senior leadership. Coach and guide the analyst team in these efforts, following best practices.
+ Leadership ofglobal external scan processes for monitoring priority trends, identifyingbig bet opportunities, big threats – ensuring the team’s analysis, research and methods identify new growth opportunities and risks, maintainingongoing alignment with senior leadership.
+ Proactively collaborate with cross-functional leaders and teams to ensure alignment and execution of strategic initiatives.
+ Design and implement performance metrics to track the success of strategic plans.
+ Present findings and recommendations to senior management and stakeholders. Coach and guide team members on conducting impactful presentation approaches.
+ Stay abreast of Global industry trends and best practices in strategic planning and analysis.
+ Manage team budget to plan; negotiate and manage vendor contracts; manage related purchase order and invoicing processes for team.
+ Build and lead Greene Tweed’s Voice of Customer Program, to include customer loyalty assessments, win/loss interviews and analysis–to inform commercial opportunities, pricing strategy, operation enhancements, product development,customer support and more.
+ Support periodic ad hoc strategy or analytical request from senior leadership.
+ Guide and lead the team’s role in proactively informing, engaging and communicating key actionable insights to the broader GT stakeholders – moving from reactive support to proactive insights.
+ Will demonstrate a passion for learning and maintaining best practice skills and expertise.
Required Minimum Qualifications
**Education/Certifications:** Required bachelor’s degree in business, economics, or other relevant field (Masters degree in business (MBA) preferred),
+ 10+ years experience in global strategy analytics, or related consulting, with work that required strong analytical, modeling, problem-solving, and communication requirements
+ 5+ years demonstrated effective analyst team leadership with a results-oriented approach.
Skills and Experience:
+ Strategic Analysis experience in one or more of the following industries is a plus: Semiconductor, Energy, Aerospace, Defense, Chemical Processing, Industrial Operations, Life Sciences
+ Experience managing analyst teams in a B2B, global manufacturing environment
+ Knowledge of global industry trends, market shifts, and competitive environments
+ Track record with Voice of Customer programs, and related market research
+ Direct, clear and effective communication and presentation skills
+ Ability to lead cross functional projects effectively
+ Proficiency in data analysis, modeling techniques, with tools such as Excel and visualization software
