Job Description:
A Brief OverviewThe Medical Staff Development Specialist plays a key role in recruiting and retaining high-quality physicians and advanced practice providers by sourcing, screening, and supporting candidates throughout the hiring process. This role manages communication, logistics, and recruitment marketing while also assisting with medical staff activities, events, and onboarding. Serving as a primary point of contact, the Specialist represents the organization with professionalism and ensures a seamless candidate experience.What you will do
+ Medical Staff Recruitment Support - Sourcing, planning, communicating via email, social media, phone
+ Candidate Communication and Relationship Support
+ Site Visit and Recruitment Logistics - Travel and itinerary planning and execution
+ Medical Staff Support - Assisting with orientations, onboarding work, student work
+ Marketing and Strategy Support - Draft and refresh job postings, marketing materials, attending job fairs
Qualifications
+ H.S. Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) Required and
+ Associate’s Degree (AA) Required and
+ Bachelor’s Degree in Arts/Sciences (BA/BS) Preferred
+ 1-3 years In talent acquisition, HR, recruiting or marketing Required
Qualifications:
Knowledge
+ Knowledge of healthcare systems, physician specialties, and clinical roles.
+ Understanding of recruitment and talent acquisition principles, particularly in healthcare or professional services.
+ Familiarity with sourcing tools and databases (e.g., Practice Match, Practice Link, HealtheCareers, CareerMD).
+ Knowledge of employment laws, immigration processes, and confidentiality requirements related to recruitment.
+ Basic understanding of financial tracking for recruitment expenses, sign-on bonuses, and relocation costs.
+ Basic knowledge of professional relocation and life in SE Iowa
Skills
+ Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to engage physicians, leadership, and staff professionally.
+ Effective interviewing and candidate screening skills, including assessing cultural and organizational fit.
+ Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
+ Proficiency with applicant tracking systems (ATS), databases, and Microsoft Office Suite.
+ Strong event coordination skills for candidate site visits, tours, and staff events.
+ Marketing and content creation skills to support recruitment branding.

+ Ability to build and maintain positive relationships with candidates, staff, and community partners.
+ Ability to exercise discretion and maintain confidentiality in sensitive matters.
+ Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

+ Ability to adapt quickly to changes in recruitment priorities and organizational needs.
+ Ability to represent the organization positively and persuasively to prospective candidates.
