    Sterling Industrial, LLC has an opening for an Electrical Estimator

    Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

    This position will study job specifications to determine the appropriate construction methods, evaluate construction methods and determine cost-effectiveness of plans, prepare and submit budget estimates, interpret and explain plans. Assist management with analysis of projects, comparison of estimates, and compilation of information. Some other key task and responsibilities are:

     

    • Coordinate the work of the estimating team.

    • Organize information into a coherent, meaningful format.

    • Facilitate and promote a team concept where estimating provides resources and expertise in a structured format.

    • Ensure all project specifications are met along with SBMI’s standards of work.

    • Assist with the analysis of projects, comparison of estimates, and compilation of information.

    • Confer with owners, Management, and subcontractors on changes and adjustments to cost estimates.

    • Demonstrated experience and capability in layout of piping systems.

    • Utilize skills, education, certifications, and talents to assist the Company in meeting or exceeding our goals and contractual obligations.

    • Accountable for standard take-off process to ensure complete and accurate recognition of all material, labor, equipment and other costs that would be necessary to comply fully with job specifications.

    • Understand the fabrication/erection sequences as it applies to estimating.

    Education and/or Work Experience Requirement:

    Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field or successful completion of Pipefitter Apprenticeship.

     

    5+ years of experience in construction piping department. This position will need someone with strong communication and interpersonal skills. Along with the ability to multitask, strong attention to detail, and good organizational and planning skills.

    Physical Requirements:

    • Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA, FMLA, and other federals, state, and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards.

    • Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance

    • Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.

    • Must be able to talk, listen, and speak clearly

    • Requires sedentary work that involves walking or standing, and keyboard operations
