LOGISTICS COORDINATOR – Albany, NY
Curia provides global contract research and manufacturing services to the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industries.
The Analytical Department is responsible for support of the manufacturing department and external customers. The routine functions of the laboratory are testing of raw materials, in-process, end product, and stability samples. The Logistics Coordinator is expected to assist the members of the laboratory group and maintain day-to-day laboratory operations. A major component of this coordinator’s performance rating will be based on productivity, teamwork and cooperation.

Responsibilities
+ Perform sampling of raw materials, Intermediates and Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients (APIs).
+ Maintain Sample Management sample storage areas such as Room Temperature, Refrigerated and Frozen.
+ Aliquot, prepare and coordinate with the Shipping department to ensure various samples are shipped in a timely manner.
+ Coordinate external testing and validation activities.
+ Document external method validation activities per procedure.
+ Inspect and clean fume hoods/laminar flow cabinets.
+ Perform other related duties as may be reasonably assigned in the course of business.
+ Regularly review laboratory logbooks to ensure compliance and replace and archive as required per procedure.
+ Periodically clean out or coordinate the cleanout of refrigerators, freezers, or other active sample storage areas.
+ Perform laboratory inspections as per department procedure.
+ Contribute toward release of raw materials used within SSM manufacturing.
+ Attend and contribute to project meetings.
+ Periodically review and provide feedback for associated procedures.
+ Recommend and implement methods to increase the quality of products and/or services.
+ Assist in the implementation of systems surrounding sample management. Train and assist with the systems once implemented.
+ Participate in self-development activities and training of others.
Required
+ Associate degree in chemistry or related field and two (2) years of relevant industrial experience.
OR
+ Bachelor’s degree in chemistry or related field.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
+ Chemical Hygiene training
+ Other pertinent training/courses
+ Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
+ Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
+ Ability to respond to common inquiries from internal and external customers
+ Ability to effectively present information to coworkers
+ Ability to speak effectively before employees of organization
+ Proficiency with Microsoft Excel
+ Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form
+ Pay Range: $17.79/hr.-$21.15/hr.
