Tektronix plays a key role in enabling the successful innovation of new technology.
We’re looking for a hands-on Analog Signal Path Design Engineer with deep expertise in analog circuit fundamentals and a passion for precision instrumentation. This role combines classic analog design skills with system-level thinking to develop high-performance signal acquisition paths for industry-leading test and measurement equipment.
You’ll work on everything from transistor-level amplifier design to full signal chain architecture—collaborating with hardware engineers, mechanical engineers, ASIC developers, software engineers, and system architects to deliver robust, scalable solutions.
Responsibilities
+ Design and implement analog signal paths including amplifiers, filters, attenuators, samplers, and protection circuits
+ Apply core analog design principles: biasing, feedback, stability, noise analysis, and component selection
+ Develop schematics and guide PCB layout for low-noise, high-accuracy analog circuitry
+ Architect signal workflows from probe to data converter across instruments like SMUs, DMMs, oscilloscopes, and RF/Optical systems
+ Collaborate across disciplines to ensure signal integrity, manufacturability, and calibration readiness
+ Create detailed documentation including theory of operation, error budgets, and design specifications
+ Mentor junior engineers and contribute to reusable design platforms
Qualifications
+ Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (Master’s preferred)
+ 5–10 years of experience in analog circuit design, including transistor-level design and signal conditioning
+ Strong foundation in analog fundamentals: op-amps, passive networks, feedback systems, and low-noise design
+ Experience with test and measurement instrumentation is highly preferred
+ Familiarity with PCB layout tools (Mentor Graphics preferred) and simulation/modeling tools (SPICE, Cadence, HFSS, ADS, etc.)
+ Proficiency in signal integrity, power integrity, and electromagnetic compatibility
+ Coding/scripting experience (Python, MATLAB, C/C++) for modeling and data analysis
+ Excellent communication and collaboration skills
Growth & Development
+ Work alongside senior technical leaders and contribute to architectural decisions
+ Opportunities for Principal-level advancement
+ Exposure to ASIC design, model-based development, and production-level statistical analysis
+ Influence reusable technology platforms across multiple product generations
