CAH-MBT-Activities Coordinator-Full Time-Day Shift-8a-4:30p; Rotating Weekends-Req

Pay Range-$18.51-$23.60*

Job Summary:

Responsible for planning, directing, and evaluating a comprehensive activity schedule of meaningful activities that reflects resident preferences for social, intellectual, physical, cultural, spiritual and political desires. Provides group and individual activities, interviews resident, and meets New York State Department of Health documentation standards.

Essential functions:

+ Plans, directs and evaluates activity schedule to ensure activities reflect resident preferences for social, intellectual, physical, cultural, spiritual, and political desires.

+ Interviews residents upon admission and quarterly

+ Documents resident interviews, activity attendance, and generates quarterly activity notes

+ Provides group and individual activities

+ Participates in person-centered service plan meetings

+ Participates in policy and procedure formation and performance improvement activities

+ Attends Meadowbrook management meetings

+ Develops and maintains relationships with outside community organizations

Qualifications:

+ Associate Degree in Recreation or related field preferred

+ Two years full-time experience in the recreation field with a dependent, adult population required

Supervisory Responsibilities:

+ Supervise Activities Assistant

*The listed base pay range is a good faith representation of current potential base pay for successful applicants. It may be modified in the future. Pay is determined by factors including experience, relevant qualifications, specialty, internal equity, location, and contracts.
