Job Title: Summer 2026 Graduate (MS/PhD) R&D Intern – Process Industry

Summary:As an R&D Intern in PI, you will lead hands-on research to develop sustainable, high-performance antifoam solutions for industrial use. You will design and test innovative formulations, analyze results, and present your findings, gaining valuable experience in lab experimentation, data interpretation, and cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities Include:

Research project geared towards advancing Momentive’s knowledge and understanding of high-performance antifoams. Must be able to perform the following functions after training.

- Independently perform lab-based experimentation.

- Follow safety procedures and protocols in lab operation.

- Document, analyze, and report finding in a report format.

- Maintain lab according to good housekeeping principles.

- Summarize and present the project by the end of the program.

Qualifications:

The following are required for the role

+ Pursuing an MS or PhD in the field of chemistry, chemical engineering, material science or surfactant chemistry.

+ A strong background in colloidal science is preferred, e.g., emulsion, foam, dispersion, etc..

Program Qualifications

+ The candidate must be actively enrolled in a graduate program at the time of application and for at least one year following the conclusion of the internship.

+ The candidate is expected to be available 40 hours a week for a period of 10-12 weeks between the months of May and August.

What We Offer:Base Pay Range: $22.00 - $26.00
