Job Summary
This recruitment will be used to fill two part-time (approximately 20 hours per week) Pharmacy Technician II positions for the College of Pharmacy at Oregon State University ( OSU ).
The primary responsibility of this position is to assist the pharmacist in filling prescriptions. This may include entering orders into the computer, counting and labeling medications, handling transactions at the cash register, answering phones, and participating in inventory control.
This position directly supports the pharmacists at the Health Services Pharmacy, a partnership with Benton County. Their support helps in providing pharmaceutical care to clients of Community Health Centers of Benton and Linn Counties..

What We Require
The Pharmacy Technician 2 must be registered with the Oregon State Board of Pharmacy. Some positions may require a valid Oregon Driver’s License; AND One year of training and/or experience demonstrating knowledge of: Medical terminology and abbreviations; Pharmaceutical terms and drug names (generic and trade); Mathematics to compute dosages and rate of drug use; Metric system, weights and volume; Principles of record keeping; Inventory control procedures; Pharmaceutical and supplies ordering procedures; Pharmaceutical storage and maintenance procedures.

This position is designated as a critical or security-sensitive position; therefore, the incumbent must successfully complete a criminal history check and be determined to be position qualified as per University Standard: 05-010 et seq. Incumbents are required to self-report convictions and those in youth programs may have additional criminal history checks every 24 months.
What We Would Like You to Have
+ Minimum of one year experience in retail setting as a pharmacy technician.
+ One to two years of experience with third party billing.
+ Knowledgeable in use of computer software comparable to Microsoft Office and Pioneer system.
+ Fluent in English and Spanish.
Working Conditions / Work Schedule
The incumbent is an employee of Oregon State University, however the work performed is located off campus in the Benton County Health Services building located at 530 NW 27th St Corvallis, OR.
The person in this position may be required to lift, carry, push, and pull objects weighing up to 50 pounds.
This position will handle sharp objects and will have access to controlled substances.
This position will require the candidate to work all hours the clinic is open under the supervision of a pharmacist. This may include evenings and weekends.
