Description

+ Greet patients and visitors in a welcoming and friendly manner.

+ Handle incoming calls, screen inquiries, provide information, and route calls to the correct department.

+ Assist patients with completing required forms and answer questions regarding appointments, payments, or office policies.

+ Schedule, reschedule, and manage patient appointments using electronic medical records (EMR) systems.

+ Confirm upcoming appointments and maintain a well-organized schedule for clinical staff.

+ Verify and update patient information, including insurance details, and enter it accurately into the system.

+ Maintain and organize medical records and ensure HIPAA compliance regarding patient confidentiality.

+ Process billing, accept payments, and manage co-pays and account balances.

+ Act as a liaison between patients, medical providers, and other members of the healthcare team, ensuring clear and compassionate communication.

+ Handle patient concerns or complaints and escalate issues when necessary.

Requirements

+ High school diploma or equivalent required.

+ Experience in medical reception or office administration, ideally in healthcare settings, is preferred.

+ Proficiency in electronic medical records (EMR) systems (e.g., Cerner, Epic), Microsoft Office Suite, and other office technology.

+ Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a focus on customer service.

+ Strong organizational and multitasking abilities, with keen attention to detail.
