    Job Title: CNC Machine Operator

    Job Description

    Responsibilities

    + Operate and manage multiple CNC machines in a team-based environment.

    + Conduct general and daily maintenance on machines to ensure smooth production.

    + Ensure the quality of parts through regular inspection during production.

    + Adhere to all company safety guidelines.

    + Interpret blueprints and basic geometric dimensioning and tolerancing.

    + Perform inspections using visual and manual equipment like calipers and micrometers, as well as programmed CMM equipment (training provided).

    + Make offsets and change tooling as per the provided layout (training provided).

    + Communicate effectively with team members and management regarding job status and part quality.

    Essential Skills

    + 1-2 years of experience in operating CNC Mill and/or CNC Lathe machines OR trade school certification

    + Ability to read blueprints.

    + Experience in documenting machining processes.

    + Proficiency in English for reading, writing, and communication.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Experience with mills or lathes

    + Ability to interpret GD&T.

    + Experience with STAR or Swiss machine brands.

    Work Environment

     

    Work in an air-conditioned, updated precision department with access to over 100 CNC machines, including 83 Swiss machines and 17 Mill/Lathe machines. The work schedule is a night shift from 5:30 PM to 3:30 AM, Monday through Thursday. Training occurs on the first shift from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM for 1-2 weeks, with accommodations available for those unable to train on the first shift. Dress code is professional and safety-focused to meet company standards.

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Wheeling, Illinois.

     

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $30.00/hr.
