Job Title: Maintenance Technician
Job Description
As a Maintenance Technician, you will ensure that the facility's equipment and machines are maintained properly and functioning correctly. You will oversee the maintenance program, identify and analyze equipment or machinery failures, and take corrective actions. You will also provide technical training to operators and team members, coordinate work with outside contractors, vendors, and engineering consultants, and perform various related duties as assigned.
Responsibilities
+ Perform duties with a focus on safety, quality, and Good Manufacturing Practices.
+ Conduct scheduled preventative maintenance on all production and facility equipment.
+ Adhere to established safety rules and regulations at all times.
+ Execute work orders in proper priority as assigned by management.
+ Troubleshoot and repair high-speed filling and packaging equipment.
+ Calibrate equipment and instruments as assigned.
+ Support production needs, leading and assisting on production line changeovers.
+ Repair and maintain mechanical equipment such as fillers, case packers, conveyor systems, palletizers, and water purification/filtration systems.
+ Continuously improve speed and accuracy of product changeovers and preventative maintenance plans.
+ Maintain housekeeping of all work areas and maintenance shop and parts storage areas.
+ Install and troubleshoot production equipment.
Essential Skills
+ Troubleshooting skills in electrical and mechanical systems.
+ Experience with hydraulics and pneumatics.
+ Ability to change 480v motors.
+ Preventive maintenance skills.
+ Proficient in troubleshooting using schematics and blueprints.
+ Knowledge of PLC troubleshooting and electrical systems, including 3-phase systems.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Must own personal tools.
+ Ability to work long periods on feet and perform repetitive actions.
+ Capability to lift up to 25 pounds.
+ Reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work.
+ Minimum of 3 years experience in manufacturing.
+ Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
+ Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
+ Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
+ Ability to access and navigate all areas of the production facility.

Work Environment
The facility is non-climate controlled, running hot in the summer and cold in the winter. Fans are scattered throughout to circulate air. The building, opened in 2020, is clean and newer but may become hot due to machines running. Personal protective equipment required includes steel-toed boots, ear plugs, and safety glasses.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Concord, North Carolina.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $26.00 - $35.00/hr.
