Job Title: Construction Worker/ Facilities Maintenance Worker

Job Description

Join our team as an Environmental Technician, where you will work around the landfill performing a variety of laborer duties. These tasks include moving materials, checking and changing pumps, digging, inspecting, and using basic hand tools.

Responsibilities

+ Perform general labor tasks around the landfill.

+ Move materials and inspect equipment.

+ Check and change pumps.

+ Use basic hand tools effectively.

+ Engage in digging and other manual tasks.

+ Maintain a high standard of safety and efficiency in all activities.

Essential Skills

+ 2+ years of experience in general labor.

+ Proficiency with hand tools.

+ Experience in yard work, construction, heavy equipment operation, farming, or landfill and waste removal.

+ Familiarity with Hazwoper, environmental fieldwork, remediation, and wastewater management.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Experience working outdoors in various weather conditions.

+ Experience in construction, farming, or manual labor.

+ Willingness to perform physical labor duties.

Work Environment

This role involves working in a landfill, which is a dirty environment with an odor. You will be working outdoors 100% of the time, with a schedule that rotates every two months between Monday-Friday and Tuesday-Saturday. Occasional weekend work is required, with a volunteer-based sign-up sheet. Be prepared for long days and on-call responsibilities, working 40-60 hours per week, including the possibility of overtime.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Murfreesboro, Tennessee.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $21.00/hr.
