The primary purpose of this position is to serve as the primary office of Knowledge Operations for the Commander in executing administrative, security and commander support programs for the Air Force Test Center Headquarters and Command and Staff. Responsibilities Assists the security manager In implementation and administration of Information security and personnel security duties including management of classified and unclassified information systems and compliance with applicable DoD, Air Force and other regulatory requirements. Primary administrator for mandated administrative and commander support programs, proposing alternate approaches to management to more efficiently operate. Assists with HQ AFTC facility management including space utilization, Information resources, physical security and resource protection programs consistent with applicable codes, standards and regulations. Ensures unit program compliance with regulations, laws, policies, and unit commander directives. Serves as administrator for functions associated with personnel assignments, promotions, and performance evaluations. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Experience requirements are described in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Standards for General Schedule Positions, Miscellaneous Administration and Program Series. GENERAL EXPERIENCE: Applicants must have at least 3 years of general experience, 1 year of which is equivalent to Federal experience at the next lower grade (GS-04), level, pay band (NH-01), or equivalent (pay schedule, pay band, etc). General experience is described as leading, overseeing, guiding, and/or managing programs and projects within assigned areas of responsibility; working with customers to develop a mutual understanding of their requirements; monitoring and influencing cost parameters of work, tasks and projects, ensuring an optimum balance between cost and value; and establishing priorities that reflect mission and organizational needs. NOTE: Due to the use of 120-day rosters, this period of experience may be completed within 120 days of the closing date of this announcement. Ideal Candidate: Assists the security manager in implication and administration of information security and personnel security duties. Primary facility manager, alternate SVRO Crisis Action Team member, Anti-terrorism manager, Leave web monitor etc. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAs): Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas: 1. Knowledge of security disciplines, functions, concepts, principles and practices. 2. Knowledge of administrative and military personnel administratiO(I functions, processes and procedures 3. Knowledge of facility management, safety and security practices for Air Force organizations. 4. Knowledge of processes for classified material handling, classification and marking policies, standards and guides. 5. Ability to plan and organize work, analyze data and prepare reports and meet deadlines. 6. Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing. PART-TIME OR UNPAID EXPERIENCE: Credit will be given for appropriate unpaid and or part-time work. You must clearly identify the duties and responsibilities in each position held and the total number of hours per week. VOLUNTEER WORK EXPERIENCE: Refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service Programs (i.e., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student and social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge and skills that can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
