Job Title: Interventional Technologist

SUMMARY:
As an Interventional Technologist, your attention to detail and assistance with radiology procedures ensures diagnostic quality and the maximum comfort and safety of patients undergoing procedures. Performs and assists radiologists in performing radiographic procedures, obtaining images of good diagnostic quality while providing maximum comfort and safety to patients undergoing these procedures.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Responsible for radiography of patients in all assigned areas, including angiography, interventional and digital subtraction angiography.• Maintains accountability for timely and proper service to patients during unsupervised shifts.• Maintains accountability for patient throughout the angiographic area.• Provides on-call coverage for Interventional Section of Radiology.• Maintains accountability for proper documentation of exams and related procedures utilizing the RIS/PACS and in patient charts as necessary.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
• • Graduation from accredited school of radiological technology or equivalent.
• NYS license in Radiologic Technology (or) must hold NYS permit and obtain licensure within six months of employment.
• American Registry of Radiologic Technologist Certification (ARRT-R) within six months of employment.
• Effective 7/16/2018 - NYS Injection Certification within six months of employment.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
• Six months as of Radiologic Technologist experience preferred.• BLS Certification preferred.• Interventional Experience preferred.• Proficiency in Microsoft Office products and ability to work various software applications.• Exceptional customer service and communication skills

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
M - Medium Work - Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects; Requires frequent walking, standing or squatting.
