    Production Manager

    Summary:

    Under direction of the Plant Manager, the Production Manager will be responsible for managing the workforce, productivity, cost control, continuous process improvement, health and safety as well as employee training and development.

    Essential Functions:

    + Ensure the efficient management of precast manufacturing operations by overseeing the production planning, staffing, and day-to-day manufacturing operations in a cost-effective manner.

    + Prepare daily production plan from schedule demands. Utilizing manpower efficiently and can effectively adjust as needed throughout the production day.

    + Work with procurement to ensure materials are ordered and on hand to eliminate production shortages.

    + Accurately track and record metrics, troubleshoot and resolve operational, manufacturing, and maintenance problems to ensure minimum costs and prevent operational delays.

    + Act as a leader in terms of continuous improvement and change management;

    + Analyze data drawn from production reports in order to identify possible improvements to better efficiencies and reduce quality defects;

    + Communicate, implement and apply company policies and procedures;

    + Motivate employees, be a positive source of influence, lead by example;

    + Administer company safety program ensuring compliance with required training and OSHA safety procedures.

     

    Note: Other duties and special projects as requested.

    Qualifications

    Minimum Education and Experience:

    + A Degree in Construction Management or similar field is preferred.

    + 1-3 years of work experience in production management or 3-5 years as a production supervisor/foreman within a manufacturing or construction environment.

    + Concrete experience is preferred
