    Job Summary

    The Department of Poultry Science is looking for a student to assist with administrative and clerical tasks at the Charles C. Miller Jr. Poultry Research & Education Center.

    Essential Functions

    Duties include, but are not limited to:

    + Answering the phone

    + Receiving, greeting, and directing visitors and students

    + Providing general information to the public

    + Coordinating shipping, mail, and other delivery services

    + Assisting with the planning and coordination of events

    + Performing a variety of routine clerical and administrative tasks for faculty and staff

    + Serving as a member of a team providing support services and information

    + Currently enrolled as an Auburn University undergraduate student.

    + Must maintain at least a 2.5 cumulativeGPA .

    Expectations:

    + Knowledge of various office equipment.

    + Ability to work with a diverse group of people.

    + Excellent written and verbal communications skills and strong attention to detail.

    + Ability to work independently and/or as a team member.

    + Must be highly organized, disciplined, dependable, punctual, self-motivated, and flexible.

    Preferred Qualifications

    + Previous experience working in an office setting.

     

    Pay Rate

     

    $10.00 - $13.50/hour
