Job Summary
Most work will occur in the field under typical (hot and humid) Alabama conditions; some laboratory work is also expected
Essential Functions
+ Traveling to field sites around Alabama
+ Assist w/ native bee field work including setting up insect traps & sweep netting
+ Processing insect specimens for pinning
+ Assisting w/ outreach events
+ Collecting/Entering data into spreadsheets
+ Assist w/beekeeping tasks such as hive management
+ Honeybee box building & maintenance
+ Research related tasks
+ Assist w/outreach events
+ Collecting/Entering data into spreadsheets

Minimum Qualifications
+ Enrolled student at Auburn University
+ Interest in Entomology or related discipline
+ Valid U.S. Driver’s License
+ Ability to work outside for long periods
+ Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in insect collection, beehives, bee collecting and data entry
Pay Rate
$11.00/hour
