    The Sr. Associate Athletic Director of Business Development is a senior-level leader within Husky Athletics, reporting directly to the Deputy Athletic Director for Revenue Generation. The position requires cross-functional collaboration with other senior leaders, including the Deputy Athletic Director for External Relations and the Deputy Athletic Director/COO, to advance the department's mission and operational excellence.

    Head Coaches – Primarily Football, Men’s & Women’s Basketball

     

    External Multimedia Rights and NIL Partners

    PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

    Revenue Development, Leadership & Management:

    • Serve as a key strategic advisor to the Athletic Director and senior leadership, spearheading initiatives that elevate Husky Athletics’ revenue generation capabilities.

    • Lead efforts to identify and optimize innovative revenue streams outside the purview of Advancement/Fundraising.

    • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to develop a long-term revenue strategy informed by market trends, institutional goals, and athletic program needs.

    • Drive external engagement through high-impact opportunities such as:

     

    Naming rights for facilities, jersey patches and strategic spaces.

     

    Sponsorship programs tailored to local, regional, and national businesses.

     

    Exploration of potential public / private capital investments with ICA footprint.

     

    • Provide analysis and oversight of existing revenue-generating units and recommend refinements for performance improvement.

    Integration of Multimedia Rights Partner & Dawgs Unleashed NIL Program:

    • Work closely with the Deputy Athletic Director of External and the Department’s multimedia rights partner, ensuring seamless integration, contractual alignment, and shared revenue goals.

    • Oversee and guide the strategic direction of Dawgs Unleashed, Husky Athletics' NIL business unit, aligning brand-building opportunities for student-athletes with partner interests.

    • Lead cross-departmental efforts to optimize sponsorship activations, messaging, and revenue sharing models for Football, and Men’s & Women’s Basketball.

    • Foster relationships with external stakeholders to unlock meaningful NIL opportunities at scale — from local small businesses to national campaigns.

    Concessions & Retail Partnerships:

    • Serve as the primary liaison with ICA’s concessioner partner, overseeing operations and fan experience enhancements.

    • Ensure contract compliance and day-to-day operational excellence.

    • Manage relationships with retail partners by aligning branding, merchandising, and retail strategies.

    • Collaborate on game day activations, promotions, and retail initiatives.

    Additional Duties:

    • Represent Husky Athletics at university-wide meetings, community events, and relevant national industry gatherings.

    • Provide mentorship to emerging leaders within the department.

    • Participate in strategic planning efforts and assist in the development of policies and procedures that support departmental goals.

    MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

    Bachelor’s degree in athletic administration, business, development, or a related field. A minimum of 7 years of experience in a sports revenue management role with increasing levels of responsibility.

     

    Equivalent education/experience will substitute for all minimum qualifications except when there are legal requirements, such as a license/certification/registration.

    Additional Requirements:

    • Ability and experience in promoting and maintaining public relations.

    • Experience with college or professional sports is highly desirable.

     

    Compensation, Benefits and Position Details

    Pay Range Minimum:

    $180,000.00 annual

    Pay Range Maximum:

    $195,000.00 annual

    Other Compensation:

    - Taxable benefits include tickets to UW Intercollegiate home competitions. - Non-local candidates may be eligible for a moving allowance.
