Capitol Park Mental Health Hospital is seeking an **APP - Hospitalist Capitol Park** to join Fairview’s medical team and moonlight at the brand-new, state-of-the-art 144-bed behavioral health hospital. Capitol Park Mental Health Hospital located in St. Paul, Minnesota has an exciting opportunity to work with a growing team and help shape the delivery of compassionate, high-quality inpatient psychiatric care from the ground up. The APP - Hospitalist Capitol Park will provide medical evaluations and treatment of patients at Capitol Park under the supervision of the Medical Director and work collaboratively with the medical/clinical staff.

Key Responsibilities:

+ Complete **comprehensive History & Physical examinations** within 24 hours of inpatient admission.

+ Provide **medical consultations** (approx. 10–15% of admissions), identifying medical needs and formulating recommendations (psychiatry or supervising APP will manage order entry).

+ Communicate and collaborate with psychiatric providers to ensure integrated, patient-centered care.

+ Document assessments and recommendations clearly, concisely, and in real-time via WellSky EMR.

+ Adhere to Fairview’s clinical policies, procedures, and quality standards.

+ Participate in onboarding documents, compliance checks, and periodic shifts as scheduled.

+ **Coverage needed:** Moonlighting - 7 days per week, **four-hour shifts** (example: 7:00 AM – 11:00 AM).

+ **Flexibility:** Providers may commit to one or more consistent shifts each week. Must commit to 6 shifts per year.

Qualifications:

+ Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program

+ Current licensure as a Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) in the state of [State].

+ National board certification (ANCC/AANP for NPs; NCCPA for PAs).

+ Current DEA registration (or ability to obtain).

+ BLS certification (ACLS may be required depending on specialty).

+ Excellent clinical judgment, communication, and interpersonal skills.

+ **REQUIREMENT - Minimum of 1 year experience as a Practicing Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant**
