Overview
**Missouri Baptist Medical Center** , an acute care hospital in St. Louis County, offers a full continuum of medical and surgical services, including heart care, cancer, women and infants, breast health, gastrointestinal, orthopedic, stroke, therapy, wound and pain management services. The hospital has a 24-hour adult emergency department and cares for pediatric patients at a separate emergency department in collaboration with St. Louis Children’s Hospital.

The CTV Surgery team provides daily patient management for CT Surgery inpatients and outpatients in collaboration with CT Surgeons to ensure timely and appropriate discharge planning and patient teaching.
Preferred Qualifications
Role Purpose
Acts as a patient advocate by providing education, support and interventions throughout the continuum of patient care including pre & post hospitalization. Performs duties by working with physicians to identify and carry out treatment plans.
Responsibilities
+ Works with the Medical Director and other physicians to identify and carry out the treatment plan.
+ Acts as a Patient Advocate helping to navigate patients through the diagnosis, treatment and rehabilitation process.
+ Serves as a resource to assist patients and families, other professionals and the community.
+ Provides education for the community and referring physicians.
+ Facilitate clinical protocols established by Medical Director(s).
