    Role Overview

     

    As a** **Histologist** **, you’ll play a key role in preparing tissue specimens for diagnosis, ensuring accuracy, quality, and compliance with all regulatory standards.

    Key Responsibilities

    + **Process tissue from fixation to final slide, including special stains and techniques**

    + **Maintain required files, records, and documentation for compliance**

    + **Clean and maintain laboratory equipment and instruments**

    + **Stock and manage laboratory supplies**

    + **Use medical terminology and demonstrate strong organizational and communication skills**

    + **Work independently and collaboratively as part of a team**

    + **Perform other duties as assigned**

    Qualifications

    •** **Certification & Licensure

    + **Required:** **Histology Technician** **or** **Histology Technologist License**

    + **Preferred:** **ASCP certification**

    •Education

    + **Required:** **High School diploma or equivalent**

    + **Preferred:** **Technical degree in Histotechnology or Associate’s in a related field**

    •** **Experience

    + **Preferred:** **1-2 years of laboratory experience**
