Shirley Contracting Company, LLC is looking for a Superintendent to work on various projects in the DC/MD/VA area
Qualifications:
+ 5+ years of experience with a large scale heavy civil contractor or equivalent industry experience
+ In depth knowledge of the construction process including scheduling, contract administration, equipment and manpower
+ Ability to lead field operations with effective decision making and problem-solving skills
+ Excellent communication and leadership abilities
+ Understanding of construction equipment, including safe operating practices and maintenance
+ In-depth understanding of local, state and federal construction regulations
+ High School diploma or equivalent
+ Must pass pre-employment physical/drug screening
Responsibilities** **:
+ Schedule, supervise and monitor construction to meet or exceed the project schedule and budget
+ Encourages and/or participates in staff training and development
+ Collaborate with clients, Project Managers, other construction management to determine budget and timeline
+ Develop a project schedule, sequence of work, and monitory daily productivity
+ Have a working knowledge of owner contracts, subcontracts, and purchase orders
+ Supervise field work force to assure safety, production and budget requirements are met
+ Coordinate materials and equipment delivery to ensure long-lead and critical-path items are on-site
+ Maintain a daily log for the job site's operations, reporting to management as necessary
+ Assure punch list is completed in a timely manner
