Position Summary:

As a **Pre-Service Specialist** , you will play a key role in ensuring a smooth and efficient patient experience at Saint Joseph Health System. Working in a collaborative environment, you will support clinical operations by verifying insurance benefits, securing authorizations, and facilitating pre-registration processes—all while delivering exceptional customer service.

What You Will Do:

+ Verify insurance eligibility, benefits, and authorization requirements

+ Communicate with providers, payers, and patients to resolve billing and scheduling issues

+ Pre-register patients and collect financial liabilities including co-pays and deductibles

+ Validate medical necessity for Medicare and Non-Medicare cases

+ Support scheduling, documentation correction, and reporting as needed

What You Will Need:

+ High school diploma required; post-secondary education in business or healthcare preferred

+ 3–5 years of experience in healthcare or insurance setting

+ Working knowledge of third-party payer regulations and medical terminology

+ CHAA certification preferred

+ Strong interpersonal and customer service skills; ability to travel to patient access sites
