POSITION SUMMARY:
Performs highly professional work for successful delivery of a variety of IT and business related projects for the Central Ohio Transit Authority.
Perform other duties in alignment with the COTA Strategic Plan and in support of the organization's vision to Move Every Life Forward.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
+ Provides oversight on projects to ensure requirements, deliverables, and timelines are met;
+ Interfaces and communicates directly with third party contractor's project manager as applicable;
+ Leads an internal COTA project team consisting of part-time team members assigned by project stakeholder management. Communicates with, and schedules internal resources as needed to perform project assignments per the project schedule. Escalates schedule conflicts and resource availability issues to project stakeholder management for resolution;
+ Schedules regular team meetings, documents meeting minutes, assigns and tracks performance of action items, and communicates project status via monthly status reports and/or face to face meetings with internal project stakeholders;
+ Acts as Quality Assurance/Quality Control Manager for projects to ensure the third party contractor performs work at a quality level that meets COTA's requirements;
+ Engages internal resources as needed to verify quality performance and successful completion of deliverables, and obtains COTA stakeholder sign off approval on the deliverables;
+ Plays an active boundary role between internal COTA staff and third party project teams;
+ Maintains complete project documentation as required for Federal grant reporting purposes.
+ Coaches and provides training for the organization on Project Management capabilities and skills;
MINIMUM EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
+ Bachelor's degree in business administration, information technology, computer science, or related field and five (5) years of experience managing a wide range of complex projects required.
+ PMP or ITIL certification preferred.
