Job Title: Power Electronics Engineer - ONSITE IN CARMEL, IN

Job Description

Join a global leader in electric rotating machinery and industrial automation as part of the Advanced Development Team. This role focuses on next-generation AC drive systems, power converters, and electric machines.

Responsibilities

+ Lead the design, development, and testing of AC drives, power converters, and motor control systems.

+ Develop and tune motor control algorithms, including speed, torque, EMF, and field weakening.

+ Design power electronics and motor architectures.

+ Create system models and simulations using MATLAB/Simulink.

+ Collaborate with sales and customers to define product requirements.

+ Mentor engineers and lead complex engineering projects.

Essential Skills

+ Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering.

+ 6 to 10 years of experience in designing AC systems, including induction, motor control, power electronics, and drive design.

+ Experience leading project development phases.

+ Experience leading or mentoring junior engineers.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Proficiency in power electronics, power supply design, and AC/DC systems.

Work Environment

The position requires onsite presence in Carmel, with occasional travel to customer sites. The work environment supports collaboration, innovation, and leadership in engineering projects.

Job Type & Location

This is a Permanent position based out of Carmel, Indiana.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $120000.00 - $150000.00/yr.

Benefits package will be provided.

This is a fully onsite position in Detroit,MI.
