• Accounts Receivable Specialist

    Aston Carter (Sparks Glencoe, MD)


    Accurately post customer payments received through checks, ACH, wire transfers, and credit cards in a timely manner. This role involves monitoring accounts receivable aging, following up on past-due balances, and communicating with customers to resolve billing discrepancies and payment delays.

    Responsibilities

    + Accurately post customer payments in a timely manner using checks, ACH, wire transfers, and credit cards.

    + Monitor accounts receivable aging and follow up on past-due balances.

    + Communicate with customers to resolve billing discrepancies and payment delays.

    + Collaborate with sales, operations, and customer service teams to address and resolve account issues.

    + Reconcile customer accounts and investigate unapplied or misapplied payments.

    + Support continuous improvement initiatives for accounts receivable processes and systems.

    Essential Skills

    + Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Microsoft Office.

    + Experience in cash application and accounting.

    + Strong customer service and collection skills.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + An Associate's degree in Accounting is preferred or equivalent experience.

    + Minimum of 2 years of experience in Accounts Receivable.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $26.44 - $31.25/hr.
