    DESIGNER DRAFTER II / III

    Experienced Draftsperson with CAD experience in Solidworks; CREO a plus. Drawings for manufacturing Airborne parts and Ground Based structures. General knowledge of Geometric Tolerances a plus. The job entails working with various levels of Engineers and Mechanical Designers. Support will include creating drawings in CAD, BOM's, BOM structuring in ERP system, and general documentation creation of work instructions, manuals.

    RESPONSIBILITIES:

    + Prepares complex drawings from design sketches, specifications, CAD models, and comments provided by engineers and designers.

    + Operates CAD system hardware efficiently and effectively to create interactive graphics data base for final output of documentation as required.

    + Prepares complex layouts to establish relationships and clearances among components and makes required calculations.

    + Performs detailing and checking requiring independent judgment.

    + Prepares simple preliminary designs and layouts as required.

    + Prepares parts lists from completed drawings and may select materials and parts based on data and specifications as assigned.

    + Assists in preparation and incorporation of engineering change orders.

    + Performs other related duties as necessary.

    + $35.00 - $40.00 per hour.

     

    POSITION REQUIREMENTS: Specific training, skills, and experience needed to perform job

     

    + Typically requires an Associate's Degree in Drafting Technology or equivalent technical training plus two (2) years related experience, or six (6) years related experience of other equivalent combination of technical training and experience.

    + Requires a thorough understanding of standard drafting techniques.

    + Experience with Solidworks, CREO a plus.
