Responsibilities

Performs a variety of tasks in support of the daily workflow of the pharmacy to include the appropriate distribution of medications in compliance with state and federal laws and in accordance with CSH policies and procedures. Under the supervision of a pharmacist, technicians are accountable for:

+ preparing and dispensing prescribed medications for patients

+ performing compounding of intravenous medications

+ assisting in managing inventory

+ performing charging and crediting functions for medications associated with drug distribution processes

+ performing routine clerical/administrative tasks

Qualifications

+ High school diploma or GED equivalent required

+ 6 months compounding of IV medication

+ Registered Pharmacy Tech in the state in which the employee works, PHARMTECH:TX

+ Active CPT-EXCPT or CPT-PTCB or CPHT certification in good standing in the state in which the employee works

Pay Range

$19.49 - $27.52 /hour
