    About Us

    Newport Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, located in Christiana, PA, is a skilled nursing facility committed to delivering high-quality, patient-centered care. We are currently seeking a PRN Occupational Therapist (OT) to join our in-house rehabilitation team. This role is ideal for a compassionate, experienced therapist looking to make a meaningful impact with a flexible schedule.

    Key Responsibilities

    + Address patient needs related to daily living and functional independence

    + Develop individualized treatment plans using evidence-based interventions

    + Deliver occupational therapy services to enhance safety, mobility, and performance in ADLs and IADLs

    + Teach patients adaptive strategies and task modifications to improve engagement

    + Recommend and train patients in the use of adaptive equipment

    + Educate family members and caregivers on home care strategies

    + Document patient assessments, treatment plans, progress notes, and discharge summaries

    + Maintain communication with interdisciplinary team members to ensure coordinated care

    + Follow up on patient progress and adjust interventions as needed

    Qualifications

    + Bachelor’s degree or higher in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program

    + Current license to practice Occupational Therapy in the state of Pennsylvania

    + Strong clinical knowledge of therapeutic principles and treatment methods

    + Familiarity with ADL evaluation tools and adaptive equipment

    + Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

    + Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative clinical team

    + Prior experience in a skilled nursing or long-term care setting preferred
