Atlanta Technical College (ATC) is seeking highly qualified applicants for its Culinary Arts Adjunct Faculty position in the Business & Public Service Technology division. This position is located on Atlanta Tech's main campus, just South of Downtown Atlanta.
Job Duties & Responsibilities:
Under general supervision, provide instruction for credited culinary arts core course syllabus; ensuring the outcomes meet the stated objectives.
+ Demonstrate the use of appropriate teaching techniques.
+ Demonstrate the use of appropriate testing and grading procedures, including proper maintenance of gradebooks and any other appropriate record-keeping required.
+ Demonstrate the effective use of effective communication skills.
+ Demonstrate knowledge of current procedures in the Culinary Arts field.
+ Follow approved course syllabus.
+ Responsible for teaching and monitoring students on internship.
+ Complete all reports, records, and invoices in a timely manner and maintain an accurate inventory of all assigned properties.
+ Monitor students’ use of supplies, materials, and equipment.
+ Advise and counsel students and maintain appropriate advisement records on each student classroom and laboratories.
+ Attend meetings as required and appropriate.
+ O bserve and enforce institution’s policies and regulations.
+ Assist with student recruitment and job placements directed by the division chair.
+ S erve on committees as directed and coordinated by the division chair.

• Knowledge of vocational area of assignment.
• Skill in presenting subject matter.
• Skill in administering tests to evaluate progress.
• Skill in the use of computers and job-related software programs.
• Skill in interpersonal relations and in dealing with adult learners.
• Oral and written communication skills.
• Knowledge of student information systems.
Minimum Requirements :
• Bachelor’s degree in culinary arts or related field from a regionally accredited institution.
•W ork experience must include competencies, skills, and knowledge level included in the culinary arts field.
Preferred Requirements :
Preferences may be given to candidates who in addition to meeting the minimum qualifications, possess and demonstrate the following:
• Master’s degree in culinary arts or a related field with at least 18 graduate hours in a culinary related field from a regionally accredited institution.
•P rior teaching experience
WORK SCHEDULE: May be required to teach at other locations and other locations within the community.
