Job Summary:
As a Group Exercise Coordinator, you will play a pivotal role in supporting and enhancing our group fitness offerings while maintaining a focus on program quality, team collaboration, and member engagement. This position combines operational oversight with leadership responsibilities, allowing you to contribute to the success of our fitness programs and inspire a culture of health and wellness within our community.
Responsibilities:
+ Collaborate with leadership to design and support group fitness classes that engage members, inspire participation, and drive retention.
+ Assist in recruiting, onboarding, and mentoring group exercise instructors, fostering their professional growth and program excellence.
+ Organize and host workshops, skill-sharing forums, and other development opportunities for instructors.
+ Conduct periodic class audits and support quality assurance efforts to maintain program safety and professional standards.
+ Act as a point of contact for member feedback, ensuring their voices are heard and fostering a positive fitness experience.
+ Assist in organizing specialty classes, master sessions, and the fee-based Pilates Reformer program to diversify offerings.
+ Track and analyze attendance trends, preparing monthly reports to inform program improvements.
+ Support marketing initiatives by providing input for promotional materials and assisting in community outreach efforts.
+ Stay current with industry trends by attending local training events and maintaining professional certifications.
+ Perform additional duties as assigned by leadership.
Qualifications:
+ At least one year of experience leading group fitness classes and prior experience in a support or leadership role is preferred.
+ Nationally recognized group exercise certification (e.g., AFAA, ACE, ACSM, NETA) is required.
+ Current CPR/AED and First Aid certifications are required.
+ Strong interpersonal and customer service skills, with the ability to connect with members and motivate staff.
+ Familiarity with tools like Excel and PowerPoint for reporting and marketing tasks.
+ Knowledge of safe exercise practices and program modifications for diverse populations.
+ A proactive, organized, and adaptable approach to managing multiple responsibilities.
