    Required Skills:

    Research Scientist Responsibilities:

    1. Help build machine learning systems behind Facebook's products, create web applications that reach millions of people, build high volume servers, and be a part of a team that’s working to help connect people around the globe.

    2. Develop highly scalable classifiers and tools leveraging machine learning, regression, and rules-based models.

    3. Suggest, collect and synthesize requirements and create effective feature roadmap.

    4. Code deliverables in tandem with the engineering team.

    5. Adapt standard machine learning methods to best exploit modern parallel environments (e.g. distributed clusters, multicore SMP, and GPU).

    6. Perform specific responsibilities which vary by team.

    7. Doctorate degree (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or related field

    8. Requires completion of a graduate-level course, research project or internship involving the following:

    9. 1. Data ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) design, implementation, and maintenance on a large scale

    10. 2. Programming in Python

    11. 3. Reinforcement Learning

    12. 4. Machine Learning

    13. 5. Programming in MATLAB

    14. 6. Mathematical Modeling

    Public Compensation:

    $221,420/year to $240,240/year + bonus + equity + benefits
