Tessera is seeking a reliable and dedicated IT Technician who brings sharp problem-solving skills and a calm, confident presence to every challenge. You provide expert Tier I & II support, resolve hardware and software issues, and ensure secure, compliant network operations. Your vigilance in monitoring systems, maintaining documentation, and supporting users makes you an essential part of the team.
Typical duties include but are not limited to:
+ Provide Tier I & II technical support to users via phone, email, and in-person channels.
+ Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and multi-platform system issues.
+ Troubleshoot network connectivity, VPN access, and authentication failures.
+ Monitor system logs and network activity to detect and respond to security threats.
+ Implement and maintain cybersecurity tools including firewalls and antivirus solutions.
+ Ensure compliance with DoD cybersecurity policies and USAFA IT protocols.
+ Perform backups, support disaster recovery, and conduct preventive maintenance.
+ Maintain accurate documentation of system configurations, incidents, and inventory.
+ Assist in onboarding, training, and supporting users on new technologies and systems.
+ Collaborate with IT leadership on infrastructure upgrades and stay current with emerging tech.
Qualifications:
+ 3–5 years of hands-on experience in IT support, preferably in a government, military, or academic setting.
+ CompTIA Network+, Security+, or equivalent certifications preferred
+ DoD 8570 compliance certifications a plus
+ Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
+ Excellent communication skills and customer service mindset
+ Ability to adapt to evolving priorities and technologies in a dynamic operational setting
Physical Requirements:
Employees must have the ability to perform the following physical demands for extended periods of time with or without assistance. The physical demands of this position may be reasonably accommodated for individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions on a case-by-case basis.
+ May be required to reach, kneel, walk, stand, and use repetitive motion for several hours at a time based on position duties.
+ Work may require repetitive motion, reaching, lifting, kneeling, and walking. Standing or sitting for several hours at a time, climbing in and out of a vehicle, and up and down stairs may also be required.
+ Must have the perseverance to work effectively under pressure for extended periods of time.
Requirements:
+ Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance for this postion.
+ CompTIA A+ required
+ A valid state driver’s license is required with the ability to obtain and maintain coverage by Tessera’s insurance.
