Position Summary:
We are seeking an Assistant Merchant supporting our Apparel, Footwear, and Accessories categories in our Fort Lauderdale, FL Support Center. As a part of the Merchandising team, the Assistant Merchant supports the development of merchandise assortments and business strategies that drive strong financial results. This position is responsible for managing the daily operation of the department including planning, developing, and coordinating all information related to advertising and the needs of the business. The Assistant Merchant communicates with vendors and serves as the key department contact for stores and our support center.
Primary Responsibilities:
+ Advertising, Marketing, Visual and sales support, responsible for managing department attribution, photography, product turnover, advertising and, promotional signage for the stores.
+ Review and proof store signage and all advertising vehicles, i.e. flyers, tabs, emails.
+ Generate and maintain SKU set up information.
+ Manage drop ship vendors.
+ Communicate with internal and external partners.
Education, Experience and Skills:
+ BA/BS degree or commensurate work experience a plus.
+ 2+ years experience as an Assistant Category Manager preferred.
+ Flexibility to adapt to a quickly changing business environment and varying priorities.
+ Able to coordinate and prioritize high work volume and pressing time lines.
+ Demonstrate flexibility, initiative and the ability to work independently on multiple projects in a fast-paced, resulted driven environment.
+ Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization and work in a team environment.
+ Detail-oriented and an ability to detect inconsistencies in data.
+ Proficient in Excel, Word, Power Point and Looker.
+ Strong business math skills.
