    Job Description

    Join Olsson's Facilities Engineering and Design Team as an Entry-Level Mechanical Engineer and contribute to the innovative design of healthcare facilities. In this entry-level role, you will gain hands-on experience supporting engineering tasks, collaborating with experienced professionals, and learning the intricacies of designing reliable, high-performing systems that positively impact healthcare environments.

    Primary Responsibilities:

    + Assist in designing mechanical systems for small to medium-sized healthcare projects, applying standard engineering techniques and procedures.

    + Support the preparation of project documents, including drawings, reports, and specifications, ensuring alignment with project scope, schedule, and budget.

    + Conduct basic calculations and analyses under the guidance of senior team members.

    + Use design and modeling software to create and modify engineering drawings and layouts.

    + Collaborate with project managers, clients, and team members to ensure successful project execution and clear communication.

    + Participate in project meetings and contribute to the development of innovative solutions.

    + Learn and apply knowledge of national codes, standards, and regulations relevant to healthcare design.

    Qualifications

    + Excellent interpersonal and problem-solving abilities.

    + Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from an ABET-accredited institution.

    + Engineer Intern (EI) certification preferred, with eligibility to pursue Professional Engineer (PE) licensure.

    + Proficiency with design and modeling software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, or similar tools) is a plus.

    + A strong desire to contribute to the healthcare industry through impactful mechanical engineering solutions.
