Position Overview

The material clerk is a utility role within the supply chain department which covers the steel room, various other stockrooms and parts trucking. Responsibilities include but are not limited to unloading steel trucks, cutting bar stock, picking orders, and delivering orders to work cells within the factory. Other duties will include cycle counting, finished goods packaging and shipping and receiving. All facets of material handling within the shop can be covered by this position at the instruction of the SCM Lead.

Key Responsibilities

Receive incoming materials, verify against packing slips, and inspect for damage or discrepancies.

Operate material handling equipment including:

Forklift

Reach truck

Tugger truck

Overhead crane

Use bandsaw to prepare or process raw materials as required.

Accurately log and track material movement in JD Edwards ERP system.

Perform inventory control tasks such as cycle counting and stock reconciliation.

Stage, label, and deliver materials to appropriate departments based on production schedules.

Maintain clean and organized warehouse and staging areas

Follow all safety regulations, company policies, and equipment operation guidelines.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED minimum

Warehousing or Manufacturing certificate through accredited institution preferred

Manufacturing or Warehousing experience preferred

Ability to read blueprints or drawings preferred

Experience working with JD Edwards or comparable ERP system preferred

Physical Requirements:

Ability to work in a manufacturing environment, including standing for extended periods.

Ability to lift up to 30lbs and work with tools and machinery safely.

Compensation and Benefits

Pay Range: $18.00-$22.00/hr
