    About the Role

     

    The Wall Street Journal Leadership Institute Business is seeking an exceptional individual to source & drive new business opportunities for the C-Suite New Membership Sales team.

     

    The Sales Development Representative is responsible for identifying, contacting, and qualifying new leads in order to set-up introductory meetings with members of the C-Suite Membership sales team.

    You Will:

    + Call current and prospective clients to set-up meetings for WSJLI and particular C-Suite memberships

    + Work closely with Sales Directors, Account Executives and key specialists to devise sales campaigns for specific segments. Identify target groups, build prospect lists and generate qualified sales leads through targeted campaigns.

    + Identify, qualify and develop new leads to achieve and exceed personal and team revenue goals.

    + Develop necessary internal relationships with all parts of the WSJ Leadership team (Product, Marketing & Sales).

    + Maintain records of sales calls, contacts and sales campaigns to provide timely management information.

    You Have:

    + 1+ year experience required

    + Comfort and confidence with cold calling.

    + Ability to work in a team environment.

    + Driven by results.

    + Proactive, with a 'can do' attitude and the ability to adapt in a fast changing environment.

    + Good planning and organizational skills.

    + Excellent oral and written communication skills are a must.

    + Knowledge or ability to learn the processes and daily workflow of personnel.

    + Ability to identify key customer issues to determine whether it is appropriate to set-up a meeting with a specialist.

    + Ability to maintain effectiveness when working closely with people of diverse cultures or backgrounds.

    + Ability to effectively handle multiple activities and re-prioritize when necessary to ensure revenue goals are achieved.

    + Degree level education preferred.
