Overview
Helio Health is looking for aSubstance Use Disorder Counselorto support its mission of promoting recovery from the effects of substance use and mental health disorders and other health issues. This role is vital to the management and coordination of services to patients/residents participating in, or who have completed our treatment programs. We are hiring for two Full-Time positions which will be located at our Hickory Street Residential Program. The schedule is Monday-Friday, 8:00am-4:30pm, with paid on call availability required as needed.
Pay Rate:$18.00 - $23.71 per hour.

Responsibilities
+ Maintain a case load of patients seeking treatment from the effects of substance use and/or mental health disorders.
+ Perform essential counseling responsibilities including screening, intake and orientation, assessment, evaluation and intervention, treatment planning, referrals, crisis intervention, counseling, patient education, case management, reporting and record keeping.
+ Participate in program, administrative and clinical committees as assigned.
+ Relate effectively with staff, clients, and community while upholding confidentiality requirements.
Qualifications
+ Associate's degree in a human service field required, bachelors preferred.
+ CASAC-T required
+ Two years of experience working with behavioral health and/or substance abuse issues.
+ Knowledge of addiction/recovery, behavioral health, self-help group process and principles of counseling.
+ Valid NYS Driver’s License preferred.
