    Job Description

    We are seeking a skilled and experienced Mechanical Fitter/HVAC Technician to perform installation, fabrication, maintenance, and repair of mechanical piping systems across commercial and industrial facilities. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience working with various piping materials and HVAC systems, possess a strong understanding of mechanical schematics and blueprints, and be committed to delivering high-quality workmanship in compliance with safety and industry standards.

     

    **Primary Responsibilities** :

    + Install, fabricate, maintain, and repair piping systems carrying water, steam, air, gas, chemicals, and other fluids in commercial and industrial environments.

    + Work with a variety of materials including carbon steel, stainless steel, copper, plastic piping, and other specialized materials.

    + Inspect and troubleshoot mechanical and plumbing systems to identify and resolve leaks, blockages, corrosion, or equipment failures.

    + Replace or repair damaged or faulty piping, valves, pumps, and fixtures to ensure system integrity and performance.

    + Perform routine maintenance to ensure safety, efficiency, and longevity of mechanical systems.

    + Assemble piping using welding, brazing, soldering, threading, grooving, and mechanical fittings with appropriate tools and equipment.

    + Install and commission mechanical service piping systems including HVAC, chilled water, steam, compressed air, fire protection, and other process piping.

    + Conduct pressure tests to detect leaks and verify system alignment and compliance with design and performance standards.

    + Read and interpret piping blueprints, isometric drawings, P&IDs (Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams), and building plans to guide work.

    + Coordinate system layouts, installations, and repairs with other trades and construction teams to meet project timelines and specifications.

    Basic Qualifications

    + TS/SCI w/ Poly Clearance is required

    + High school diploma or equivalent.

    + 5+ years of relevant hands-on experience in HVAC maintenance and repair.

    + Completion of a formal training program in HVAC technology or a related field.

    + Proficient in diagnosing mechanical and electrical issues using diagnostic tools such as motor analyzers, pressure gauges, and factory manuals.

    + Ability to disassemble, repair, and reassemble other major HVAC systems.

    + Skilled in using standard hand tools and power tools commonly used in HVAC repair.

    + Working knowledge of cooling systems, hydraulics, pneumatics, and preventive maintenance practices.

    + Familiarity with performing routine mechanical inspections and safety checks.

    + Ability to work independently with limited supervision and solve moderately complex mechanical problems.

    Preferred Qualifications

    + Associate degree, trade school certification, or vocational training in Mechanical Fitting, HVAC, Diesel Mechanics, or a closely related technical field.

    + 5+ years of hands-on experience in mechanical fitting, HVAC system maintenance, or industrial equipment repair.

    + Certification in HVAC systems (e.g., EPA 608) or relevant mechanical trade certifications (e.g., Cert III in Engineering – Mechanical Trade or equivalent).

    + Proven ability in advanced troubleshooting and root cause analysis of mechanical, HVAC, and electro-mechanical systems.

    + Experience working with hydraulic and pneumatic systems in commercial, industrial, or plant environments.

    + Familiarity with energy-efficient HVAC technologies, ventilation systems, and sustainable mechanical practices.

    + Understanding of maintenance planning and project coordination, including parts procurement and job scheduling.

    + Knowledge of quality assurance protocols, mechanical compliance standards, and relevant building codes.

    + Strong commitment to workplace safety with demonstrated knowledge of occupational safety regulations (e.g., OSHA or local equivalents).

    Pay Range:

    Pay Range $57,850.00 - $104,575.00
