Blank Children’s Hospital

Blank Children's Hospital, a service of UnityPoint Health - Des Moines, is completely dedicated to meeting the unique health care needs of children. Blank Children's is a 108-bed environment that embraces and encourages families to be a part of their child's healing and recovery. Everything from equipment to decor is designed specifically for children.

Responsibilities

Blank Children's Hospital is hiring a PMHNP to provide support in a combination inpatient/outpatient role.

+ Serve as a psychiatric hospitalist, providing inpatient care (including assessments, mediation management, and treatment planning), with the additional responsibility of seeing a limited number of patients in the outpatient clinic each day

+ Work alongside a multidisciplinary team, p articipate in treatment team meetings and contribute to care coordination

+ Join two physicians and two APPs in the clinic setting

+ Patients range from ages 4-18

Qualifications

+ Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP)

+ Ability to obtain and hold an unrestricted license to practice in the state of Iowa

+ Eligible to work in the United States
