Responsibilities

Are you a compassionate and experienced Registered Nurse with a passion for Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation? UnityPoint Clinic is seeking a skilled Specialty RN to join our PM&R team. In this role, you will provide personalized care to patients with a wide range of musculoskeletal, neurological, and functional conditions, supporting them through treatment, recovery, and long-term management in a collaborative, patient-centered environment.

Key Responsibilities:

+ Provide direct patient care within the PM&R specialty, including support for patients with chronic pain, mobility impairments, neurological disorders, and musculoskeletal conditions.

+ Assist with clinical assessments, rehabilitation planning, and implementation of individualized care plans.

+ Administer medications, injections (e.g., trigger point, joint), and other treatments as prescribed by physicians.

+ Educate patients and families on treatment plans, mobility aids, adaptive techniques, and strategies to improve function and quality of life.

+ Support care coordination for patients undergoing physical, occupational, and speech therapy.

+ Monitor patient progress in both acute and outpatient rehabilitation settings and communicate any changes or concerns with the interdisciplinary team.

+ Collaborate closely with physiatrists, therapists, social workers, and other healthcare professionals to optimize patient outcomes.

+ Maintain curate documentation and ensure compliance with safety, infection control, and regulatory standards.

Qualifications

+ Current and unrestricted RN license in Iowa

+ Experience in rehabilitation nursing or physical medicine and rehabilitation preferred

+ Specialty certification in rehabilitation nursing (CRRN) or related fields a plus

+ Strong clinical skills with experience in managing patients with neurological, musculoskeletal, or functional impairments

+ Experience in coordinating care for patients undergoing therapy, managing mobility limitations, or supporting chronic condition management

+ Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to provide empathetic, patient-centered care

+ Ability to thrive in a collaborative, interdisciplinary, and fast-paced rehabilitation environment
