Job Purpose
The Supervisor, Postal and Mail Services supports the Manager with all postal and mail related services. The Supervisor provides daily oversight of mail processing and distribution to ensure efficient, accurate, and timely handling of all incoming and outgoing mail. This position also assists the Manager with Mail and Postal teams, including personnel actions.
Essential Responsibilities
+ Assists with identifying and implementing cost savings initiatives specific to Jackson’s mailing and shipping function.
+ Works directly and collaboratively with other business units to facilitate improved mail processes.
+ Provides input on United States Postal Service cost savings measures to improve efficiencies and reducing costs.
+ Assists the Manager with relationships with the Document Control Center and Print mail/shipping vendors.
+ Assists the Manager with all purchase orders, billing, and invoices for Jackson’s mail and shipping vendors.
+ Monitors the accuracy and quality of mail services, addressing errors or issues as they arise to maintain high service standards.
+ Represents Corporate Support Services internally and Jackson externally on mail/postage functions.
+ Supports the Print and Document Control Center teams with postal and shipping needs and requirements.
+ Keeps Document Control Center and Print associates current with their postal/shipping skills.
+ Generates KPIs and reporting showing costs, trends, and initiative benefits.
+ Assists Manager with direct reports in accomplishing team responsibilities and goals.
+ Supervises the postal and mail services team including hiring, coaching, development, corrective action, terminations, and reviews.
+ Oversees the operation and maintenance of mailroom equipment, such as postage meters, sorting machines, and scanning machines.

+ Performs other duties and/or projects as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
+ Self-motivated and able to work independently.
+ Identifies and drives postal/shipping needs and initiatives.
+ Able to organize and prioritize multiple tasks/projects to meet deadline commitments.
+ Strong verbal communication and presentation skills.
+ Track record of successful project/initiative implementations.
+ Able to communicate/present initiatives across all levels of Jackson leadership.
+ Clear understanding of Jackson's invoicing system.
+ Ability to provide input on financial aspects of the job including budgets, forecasts, invoices.
+ Basic knowledge of the postal and shipping industry preferred.
+ Strong knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook required.
Qualifications
2+ years working in the mailing/shipping industry required.
